Our Mission: 

To illuminate the mental health concerns stemming from Sickle Cell Disease’s physical, emotional, and social impacts and connect individuals diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease to free quality mental health services and resources.   

About the Founders

Clayton Andrews is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Savannah Georgia. Mr. Andrews also lives with Sickle Cell Disease and is an active advocate within the Sickle Cell Community. He is also passionate about providing mental health services to the Sickle Cell Community due to identifying mental health concerns that are often a result from the challenges of the disease. Mr. Andrews also has a passion for mentoring Black males, providing forensic mental health services to the underserved populations, and providing resources to underserved families.

Shana Andrews professional background is in Social Work and Education. Ms. Andrews is a native of Mississippi and has a passion for helping children and families. She is most passionate about providing resources to the underserved communities and creating opportunities that are empowering and add stability for individuals and families.

Together, the Andrews focus is on combining their passion and expertise to create programs that positively impact the underserved communities.

The Warrior to Warrior (W2W) program provides free quality mental health services to include consultations and assessments, individual, family, or group counseling sessions, and can be conducted in-person or via telehealth with licensed mental health clinicians that also has a diagnosis of Sickle Cell Disease.

The Champions Mentoring program

This program provides free quality 1:1 mentorship to males age 13+ diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. This program provides guidance and balance for a healthy and productive lifestyle, access to educational events and resources, support with transitioning from pediatric medical care to adult medical care, and a focus on promoting healthy social skills. Mentors will be professional men diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease and committed to the mission of the Champions Mentoring program.

Program Purpose:

​Warrior Connections, Inc., Founded by Clayton Andrews and Shana Andrews in 2024, addresses the holistic needs of Sickle Cell Warriors. Leveraging their personal connection to the disease, the program offers no-cost, quality, mental health services to children and adults, starting at age 10, diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease or those who are full-time caregivers of individuals diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. Services will be in-person or via telehealth sessions and accessible to residents of Georgia and South Carolina. Warrior Connections aims to bring awareness to potential mental health concerns caused by the trauma of living with the physical, mental, and social challenges of Sickle Cell Disease, and will do so by providing direct mental health services, educational resources, family support, and mentorship.
